Share-a-Gift

What is Share-a-Gift ?

Share-a-Gift is annual MPH charity programme, one that aims to provide less fortunate children with reading materials. The programme, now in its 16th year pledge a contribution of books worth RM15,000 to participating homes.

What Should I do to Join ?

Simple . All you need to do is :

  • Pick a child's name from the x'mas tree
  • Purchase a book for him / her
  • Write down your name & message on card
and MPH will get your present and message delivered to the children of your choice by this December .

What Book Should I Choose ?

It really depends on you to choose . However, it is advisable to choose a book that suits the recepient's age and gender (written on the heart-shaped card), as books that talks about politics, mechanical engineering, or Malaysian Taxation Planning 10th Edition, would be very hard for the kids to comprehend. =)

As for me, I've chosen a book written by MusimGrafik (I think it's just his/her nickname), titled Where Monsoons Meets, : A People's History of Malaya . It's a very good book that teaches the younger generation about our nation's history ? Sounds boring ? Nope, don't think so. The book is full of funny diagrams and witty captions, and the language is very easy to understand . Hehe I hope the kid is happy with the book I chose . By the way, I can't remember her name, but she is 13 years old and she stays in Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak² Yatim Johor .
