How to Check the Halal Status Using SMS

Have you ever wonder whether the JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) logo of Halal certification printed on the food packaging is authentic ? Or whether the certificate has already expired ?

Well, now you can check the status through SMS, made possible by JAKIM.


Simple steps to do to check th status:

[1] Type HALAL followed by the barcode of the product:
i.e HALAL 9771234567897

[2] Send the message to 32728.

[3] A message will be sent to you in a while, with details of the Halal status.

[4] Remember ! Only Halal Certificate Valid means that the food is Halal to be consumed!
